I’M A CITIZEN

In this section you will find some information about barriers and opportunities as defined in the WinWind project

  • Environmental factors (i.e. what are the effects on the landscape, how can noise emission of wind turbines be mitigated, where are the impacts on agriculture, nature and species, nature and biodiversity, pollution, etc.);
  • Socio-cultural factors (i.e. what are the effects on quality of life and on group identity, how can a fair distribution of costs and benefits of wind farms among different actors in a community be achieved?, etc.);
  • Economic factors (i.e. regional added value creation, impact on property value and tourism, job market etc.).
  • Active role and opportunities for citizens (involving groups in project planning and implementation, obtaining  social benefits, etc.)
